If you have a sister, has she ever looked at you one day and said “I think we should start a blog”? I have. It’s scary. Growing up we were both creative but never with words & we usually had a tutorial. Going out and creating something from scratch? No way. But you say yes anyways because she’s your big sis, so it will be unicorns & a pot of gold. Also we build up some history & what could be better – especially if your long-term plan is to collaborate together on creative projects.

Then she actually goes to start said blog – and reality sets in. She asks you to write a lot, go on cool adventures and document it, record your thoughts. Then you realize how unbelievably boring your life really is. How in the world does one just start a blog? It’s the whole aspect of putting yourself out there for the world, when my day is spent studying & eating. (You’ll learn quickly, I love food.)

So you write one or two, then throw them away, because who really cares about what you learned in accounting this week. But posting your first blog… scary. I actually cried a bit. I thought, whoa people are going to read this. How scary!

So tip for all of you with a sister – if she wants to start a blog, schedule phone calls at weird hours, a lot of planning & lots of love. So far, working with my sister on this has been a blast.
