Things I Am Obsessed With For Fall
Fall is (in my opinion) the best season. The leaves begin to change, a new fashion season begins, and you get to see everyone after a long summer break. Here are some items and products that I am obsessing over for fall. And no. It’s not Pumpkin Spice.
Fashion
Mixing Mustard Yellow with lit-er-ally anything.
Let’s just all admit. Mustard Yellow is the new black. This gorgeous color matches nicely with most skin tones, and coordinates well with greens, pinks, and even animal prints. Shown to the right here is from Kittsona (follow them on instagram). I love wearing mustard yellow sweaters and pairing them with black or dark green jeans and some brown boots. I don’t usually wear much jewelry with this color, but if I did it would be brown.
Suede Skirts – especially in green
Alright now I hear the whispers – skirts in the fall? BRRRR. But hey fashion is sometimes cold. Suede has been in for a while now – but come on faux suede has fall written all over it. I am especially in love with this olive green skirt from The Loft. Yes it has pockets. I would pair this with a cozy sweater in ivory, some gold jewelry and cute booties.
Quilted Stylish Slip-On
I think I wear these shoes 4 out of the 7 days of the week. This stylish slip-on is so comfy and makes any outfit look fabulous. The quilted upper makes them unique and they have just the right amount of stretch. I have them in both colors – blush and olive and I pair them with EVERYTHING. I am serious. Jeans, leggings, skirts. For a super cute fall look I would wear the olive set with a super cute pair of skinny jeans and a camo army inspired shirt with gold jewelry.
Make-Up
Gold Metallic Highlighter
FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter. Buy here > www.ulta.com/facestudio-master-chrome-metallic-highlighter
I am loving the metallic look in all fall inspired make up. This highlighter from Maybelline has been my everyday go to highlighter for weeks now. Apply lightly for a subtle glow, or build up application for a bold melted metal look
For the Home
Create a totally unique, warm & whimsical focal point by using a central space to mix up different sizes, plaid patterns & cozy textures all in harvest hues of gold & rust.
White Pumpkins
Everyone knows that I am in love with everything Harry Potter, and people also know I hate craving pumpkins because I am never any good at it. This idea from Karen Kavett (www.karenkavett.com) is super cute and I can’t wait to try it this weekend!
Brown Thankful Lumbar Throw Pillow
While this “Thankful” Lumbar Pillow from Threshold is the perfect understated decorative accent for Thanksgiving, it can also find an extended life with other seasonal decor. The clean cursive lettering and small leaf and acorn embroidery lend fall color to any palette, so feel free to put this out when the leaves start changing, and keep it out even after all the turkey is gone.
