When you go to Adele…
Not if. When.
If you get the opportunity, don’t pass it up. You’ll regret it.
Kelli and I went to the Adele Live 2016 concert in Minneapolis this week with our Mom and it was A-MAZ-ING. Not only does she have an unbelievable voice but she’s funny as hell and down to earth. Absolutely one of the best shows I’ve been to.
There was no opening act, so she took the stage about 8ish. And didn’t wrap up until 10/10:30. That’s right – nearly two hours of straight Adele!! Awesome!
Her banter with the audience, the stories and raw honesty made her related and all the more awe-inspiring. She shared the meaning behind so many songs (Sweetest Devotion takes on a whole new meaning now when I look at Little Man) and some of her personal struggles. I know she has to put herself out there in order to write such moving lyrics but this was a whole new level. No filter. No subliminal message. No chorus. Just Adele. And I love her and the music all the more for it.
So again, if the chance arises for you take it. Take the girlfriends closest to you. Belt your heart out no matter how tone deaf you might be (trust me, I’m pretty bad). It’s a memory you won’t soon, or ever, forget.
