It was a big first in our world today. Little Man’s first movie at the movie theater. And it was a success. 

I think it helped that the movie was filed with dogs and all sorts of animals doing crazy things. Also that it started with a monster (minions) short.  He thought the whole thing was hilarious. I definitely recommend The Secret Life of Pets for families with kids (and kids at heart). It was super cute and funny. 

We went with a friend and her little guy…who goes to daycare with Little Man. The two boys were so excited to go together, sit next to each other and eat popcorn. Their enthusiasm was so adorable and precious. I was a little nervous about how his first movie was going to go – a meltdown in the theater scared the crap out of me. I’m pretty sure having a buddy with helped keep him interested longer and happily make it through the entire film (with only 10 minutes with staring at the two older kids behind us). 

So at least now we know of one more thing we’ll be able to do on the cold, snowy Minnesota weekends this winter – other than just countdown to Summer.
